Baku Cafe LLC is a company registered in Dubai.[155] [213] It operates an upmarket restaurant by the same name in central Dubai,[156] [157] near the Burj Khalifa skyscraper.[669] Leyla Aliyeva is a shareholder of the company, owning 49%.[155] [213] The remaining 51% is owned by an individual called Abdulla Hussain Abdul Rahman Turki.[155] [213]

The restaurant opened in October 2017.[156] [157] Its social media posts include birthday messages for Leyla Aliyeva,[158] Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva,[159] and President Ilham Aliyev,[160], as well as pro-government posts commemorating the anniversaries of Armenia’s alleged war crimes.[161] [162] In January 2019, the cafe co-organized an open-air concert in Dubai with the Azerbaijani Embassy in the UAE.[670]
