Independence Bank of South Sudan PLC is a South Sudan-based bank . Manut Salva Kiir, son of President Salva Kiir, was a 5% shareholder in Independence Bank of South Sudan PLC as of July 18, 2013.[88]
In a 2019 response to The Sentry, a shareholder of Independence Bank of South Sudan stated that the bank never became operational, and they denied that the son of the president was associated with the bank.[216]
