Mayar Salva Kiir Mayardit is the son of the president of South Sudan, Salva Kiir.[35] He was listed as a shareholder of eight South Sudan-based companies. These include:

Ayen Achom Holdings Company Ltd, as of November 15, 2006;[41]
Oil Line & Hydrocarbon Ltd, as of January 6, 2014;[130]
Vasilico Investment Company Limited, as of November 29, 2011;[66]
Edam Investment Company Ltd, as of July 7, 2015;[82]
Specialist Services Company Ltd, as of May 21, 2015;[35] and
Yiekarot General Trading Co, until August 6, 2015.[4]
In a 2019 response to The Sentry’s report “The Taking of South Sudan,” the Office of the President said that Mayar Salva Kiir Mayardit was no longer a shareholder in Yiekarot General Trading and that the company was not active.[214]
