Mohamed Ali Abdullah Ahmed is an Emirati businessman. In 2020, he was a 51% shareholder and director of MIRK Construction Company LLC, a company registered in Dubai as part of the MIRK group of companies.[122] Cheryl Jean Vaughn, a US citizen, held the remaining 49%.[122] In 2019, Ahmed owned 51% of MIRK Electromechanical LLC, a Dubai registered building services company and another member of the MIRK group.[121] [123] MIRK Electromechanical’s other shareholder was the company’s founder and chief executive, Behzad Ahadpour Khanghah,[123] who held 49%.[121] The MIRK group of companies and its subsidiaries are closely connected to scores of luxury properties in Dubai owned by the children of senior Azerbaijani officials, including several owned by Leyla and Arzu Aliyeva.[341]
