Winnie Salva Kiir is the daughter of the president of South Sudan, Salva Kiir.[212] She was listed as a shareholder of one South Sudan-based company, Fortune Minerals and Construction Ltd, as of March 23, 2016.[17]
In a 2019 response to The Sentry’s report “The Taking of South Sudan,” the Office of the President said that Winnie Salva Kiir was an 11% shareholder in Fortune Minerals and that “the company never took off since obtaining the licenses.”[214]
