The company featured in the records of Malta’s Pilatus Bank, which was shuttered in 2018 over systemic failures to comply with anti-money laundering regulations.[587] Arellano Lega Alpine AG was used in the final stage of a complex $73 million transaction to acquire AO Eruville, a company in Moscow that owned land, on behalf of Leyla and Arzu Aliyeva.[11]
Arellano Lega Alpine AG was placed into liquidation in October 2022.[317]
