Eruville LLC is a company registered in Russia for which Natalia Aleksandrovna Kolomiytseva, a Russian businesswoman who also acts as a shareholder of another Aliyeva-related company, is the director.[350] [135a] [135b] [187] In 2016, it was acquired by Leyla and Arzu Aliyeva for $73 million using multiple offshore companies and bank accounts in a transaction described as “potentially suspicious” by money laundering investigators.[341]
In 2005, several years before Leyla and Arzu Aliyeva’s acquisition, Eruville acquired a 24.6 hectare plot of development land close to Shulgino, a well-to-do village just outside of Moscow.[351] [488] [501] [489] [499] [500] [742] [743] In 2006, the local council approved Eruville’s plans to build an exclusive gated community called the Rublevo Blijneye elite village on the plot.[351] [721] However, historic satellite imagery shows that, between 2006 and 2021, no buildings were constructed on Eruville’s land, suggesting the development had stalled.[353] [354]
A quarter of Eruville LLC is owned by Novoroscement,[135a] [135b] a major Russian cement producer co-owned by Russian billionaire Lev Kvetnoy.[726] [727] [1292] As of 2023, Australian businessman Kenneth Ross Hetherington is Eruville’s beneficial owner, via Swiss company Arellano Lega Alpine AG.[135a] [135b] Hetherington was one of several individuals who acted as signatories for bank accounts owned by the family members of senior Azerbaijani political figures, including Leyla and Arzu Aliyeva.[341] Russian corporate records also show that Eruville is affiliated with Vestnik Kavkaza LLC, a Russian company linked to Leyla Aliyeva.[350] [779] [483] [484] [485] [187]
