Nedo Ventures Ltd is a company registered in the British Virgin Islands.[634] Between 2007 and 2017, Leyla Aliyeva was a shareholder.[275] [634]
In February 2009, Nedo Ventures acquired a commercial property—8 Cavendish Square—in West London for 9.5 million GBP ($13.8 million).[521] [275] [536] [659] Between 2010 and 2016, this served as the registered office of the Triangle Group,[676] a UK real estate investor linked to former Azerbaijani tax ministry officials.[521] [536] At the time of the property purchase, Nedo Ventures was reportedly controlled by Ashraf Kamilov, an Aliyev family business associate.[275] Ownership was transferred to Leyla Aliyeva, then to her grandfather Arif Pashayev, and then on to an Aliyev family trust in the Isle of Man.[521] [275] [729]
The company’s “care of” address on property records was given as Raymond Saul & Co.,[659] a law firm registered in the UK and linked to several companies registered in the British Virgin Islands that acquired high-value properties in London on behalf of members of the Aliyev family and their business associates.[448]
In February 2023, the beneficial owners of Nedo Ventures—declared on UK company records—included Hollyberry Trustee Limited, an Isle of Man trust company that owned more than 25%,[634] and Mir Pashayev,[634] an Azerbaijani with the same month and year of birth as Mir Jamal Pashayev,[730] a cousin of Azerbaijan’s first lady, Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva.[595]
