Mir Jamal Pashayev is an Azerbaijani businessman and relative of Azerbaijan’s first family. He is a cousin of Vice President Mehriban Aliyeva and a nephew of Arif Pashayev, President Ilham Aliyev’s father-in-law.[595] He is the deputy chairman of the board of directors of PASHA Holding,[596] a multibillion-dollar Azerbaijani conglomerate majority-owned by Leyla and Arzu Aliyeva since 2013.[528] [1336] [1112] [1339] [341] [341]He is also chairman of the supervisory board of PASHA Bank Azerbaijan and PASHA Investment LLC.[596]
